She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1994 from Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY., and specialized in Pediatric and Adult cardiology for 5 years in Long Island, NY. She received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Molloy College, Rockville Centre, NY in 2001. Lisa is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in Family Practice, Urgent Care, Clinic Settings, School Health Based settings, Pain Management, and Long Term Care. She is licensed in several states including Pennsylvania, New York, California, New Jersey, and Maryland. Lisa currently lives with her husband and three children in Pennsylvania.

Lisa has cared for the entire health spectrum throughout her career, from Newborns to the Geriatric population. She has treated various chronic illnesses and continues to deal with them as they affect her immediate family. She noticed over the last few years while talking and taking care of her patients and loved ones, that she was always treating the symptoms of their disease, never the root cause. Lisa wanted to spend more time with her patients and help guide them through their journey regarding their illnesses. Therefore, she decided to go back to school to become certified in Functional Medicine at The Functional Medicine Academy.

Educating and having her patients understand the “why” is extremely important to Lisa in her practice. She believes in taking an integrative/holistic approach, by looking at the body as a whole rather than just focusing on one area in order for patients to obtain optimal function. Lisa enjoys helping her patients with their health journey to obtain their physical, mental, and spiritual goals. Utilizing comprehensive labs to investigate her patient’s individual root causes of chronic illnesses allows her to develop a personalized individual health plan that is adaptable to her patients.  It is her goal to help her patient’s discover the root causes of their chronic conditions while inspiring them to work hard and make needed changes in their health to transform them into the best versions of themselves and achieve their optimal well-being.
